On the whole a nice looking kettle to have on the counter top. Clean lines. I did think the silver parts would be metal but they are plastic which I am not keen on but am getting used to. Performs very well. The smell that accompanies it when you first open the lid does disappear after the recommended two boils. Only downside is that the handle blocks the water indicator so that makes it hard to fill to the measurement of water that you need. It’s a bit irritating but I am happy to overlook it.. G. Fast boil mini kettle for travel - small in size to save space, this kettle has a powerful 1000w concealed element that makes it a very fast water boiler for camping, glamping, and caravanning

I opened the the box, and said, "That's the perfect size travel kettle".. it's sturdy, looks good quality holds 2 full mugs of water.. it does come with 2 very small plastic cups that fit inside neatly, would be good if you didn't want to take breakable China cups. I put in one standard cup of water which took 2 minutes 30 seconds to boil, and according to Smart Meter, it cost just 1p to boil it. The only downside is, the power cable is quite short, and as it doesn't have a removable base could be difficult it you don't have a socket in an easily accessible place, such as in a guestroom were power points are low down.. for a kitchen counter use it's fine.
