The mesh filter initially scraped against the sides when actuated, which was unpleasant. After using it a few times I no longer notice this at all. The finish on the edge of the spout (in contact with anything poured) is chipped slightly - leaving a dark, rough edge. Otherwise a generally very solid construction with decent welds. The pour is very nice (rotate the lid into the correct position).
