I bought this item for my home office and was not disappointed. It is roomy and can store big files. Shelves are sturdy and you can load heavy books on them. But you need to ask someone professional to assemble this cabinet as if you never did it before you would not manage to assemble it properly even with the scheme. arrived earlier than expected, had been bashed about a bit in transit - all the polystyrene packaging was squashed and split, but had in the main done the job of protecting the unit from damage - some very small (2-3mm) damage to edges here and there, but nothing you would see unless really looking. One of the screw/bolt/nail bags had split too, so had to rummage in packaging to get all the parts together. Rather than being a single unit, it is comprised of a small upper and larger lower cupboard. These units are put together separately, and the smaller sits on top of the upper. We screwed them together as there was nothing in instructions to say how it should be done (and no pre-drilled holes), which works just fine - just pick a screw with the right length. Plenty of space inside and is a nice and sturdy unit to hide away all our bathroom odds and ends. The white colour is suitably plain to fit in with the rest of the room decor. Would buy again.. This is a really substantial cabinet, made from thick well veneered composite board. This makes it HEAVY, but not a bad thing as it's also stable. It can be made by one (in my case septuagenarian) person but it does take some time. The design is such that it's impossible to build incorrectly, which can be a problem where many parts are similar. It would be easier to do if the parts were labelled. Electric screwdriver makes life a lot easier and build quicker as there are lots of screw fittings. The hinges seem quite good, but the bolts and locks not particularly substantial, but serve to keep the doors closed, but would not deter an attempt to gain entry without a key. All together, I would recommend this as a great place to keep all that accumulated junk which 'may be useful sometime in the future! It looks pretty good too.. Christopher. Walton-on-thames, GB.
