On the whole a nice looking kettle to have on the counter top. Clean lines. I did think the silver parts would be metal but they are plastic which I am not keen on but am getting used to. Performs very well. The smell that accompanies it when you first open the lid does disappear after the recommended two boils. Only downside is that the handle blocks the water indicator so that makes it hard to fill to the measurement of water that you need. It’s a bit irritating but I am happy to overlook it.. G.
