I assemble the planter by myself. it would have been better if additional person was available to hold the pieces together, however I was able to manage it with little or no. I was able to ensure that the screws were tightened and prevent any loosening of them when I fill it with dirt. I love the aesthetics of it, and it does appear to be, very durable and able to sustain rain or other damages. The original ship planter was cast in Portsmouth by the Royal Navy to commemorate their victory over the French at the battle of Plessy.
