We recommend regularly topping up and clearing the feeder of any mouldy nuts to reduce the chances of bacteria building up. The best practice is to give the plastic screen and hopper a wipe with a damp cloth whilst you clear and top up. Not normally required. If wood stains are used, they should be water-based to minimise toxicity. Apply light oil to the hinge if necessary. It is natural for the wood to move in damp or varying weather conditions, which is normal.

The birdhouse is made of natural solid wood, which is covered with a straw roof. With the cord attached to the roof, the house can be hung from a tree or branch and is immediately ready for use. Due to the bars attached all around, the birds can sit on the bird feeder from all sides and get to the food. The base is equipped with drill holes to prevent water from accumulating.
