This mattress is part of our specially developed Crib 5 Uni Contract Range, designed specifically for demanding commercial and non-domestic environments including hotels, halls of residence, student accommodation, universities, care homes and residential establishments. As a Crib 5 rated mattress, it has been manufactured for environments requiring a higher level of fire-retardant performance than a standard domestic mattress, while still providing excellent comfort, durability and long-term value.
The mattress is carefully constructed with seven individual comfort layers and is expertly hand-tufted to help keep the internal fillings securely in place. This traditional tufted construction helps maintain the structure and performance of the mattress over time while providing a firmer and more supportive sleeping surface. With a finished depth of approximately 7.25 inches, or 18cm, it is suitable for a wide range of contract bed frames and divan bases.
At the heart of the mattress is an engineered Ultra Max patented 13.5 gauge open coil spring unit. The interconnected spring system is designed to distribute the sleeper’s weight and pressure evenly across a wider surface area, helping to provide consistent support and a more comfortable and restful night’s sleep.
The mattress is finished in a modern striped fabric that is designed to be breathable, allowing air to circulate through and around the mattress. This improved airflow helps maintain a cooler, fresher sleeping environment while reducing the build-up of unwanted odours.
To support its Crib 5 fire-retardant rating, the mattress incorporates Crib 5 regulated fillings and Crib 5 corner pads. This makes it particularly suitable for hotels, student accommodation, universities, care homes and other residential or contract environments where enhanced fire safety standards are required.
For convenient delivery and easier handling, the mattress is vacuum-packed, rolled and boxed using our in-house packaging technology. Once removed from its packaging, we recommend allowing approximately 24 to 48 hours for the mattress to fully decompress and return towards its intended shape and depth before regular use.
