A bit fiddly to start with but once you have put one up the others are easy. We fixed into an old lath and plaster ceiling, so decided to put wooden noggings between the joists in the loft to get a secure fix (your own screws will be needed). The narrower extendable section (from the shelf up in the photo) will not be useable for a trouser rail or a shoe rack as it is wider at that point. We put a shelf up there and as you can see from the first photo there is a gap between the shelf and bracket but it has four screw fixings so is adequately secure for anything that you want to store at that height.

These were a returned item at a reduced price perfect condition very pleased to make that saving.

Unstable system no way to screw it into anything

Needed to install drawers or shelves etc. They make the job that much easier

The stanchions are very sturdy and does what he has to do,I'm kind of watching it at the moment cos it tend to be becoming loose at times, I've taken it again with a special tool so I'm just watching it at the moment.
