Trevon Square Pine Solid Wood Cube Shelf

I really like these! I know it's all subjective but I'll try to be as objective in my description to hopefully give you a feel of the product and include some pic's. They appear to be "hand-made" in examining the construction and finish, and with hand-tools too? Looks like steel pins (Box nails maybe) and glue construction .Maybe South Asian in origin? I love the "Rustic" finish ,there's something tangible about handmade products,rubbing your hand along the surface gives a feel of rough ( not like sandpaper rough) and smooth of the wood. There's a lovely organic feel .The finish has a smooth feel overall . The doors are made of MDF -Medium-density fibreboard approx. 18-20mm thick and the handle is a weighty solid metal piece with a finger scoop for grip.They are finish in medium grey and dark mottled. The hinges seem of good quality if a little "snappy" when closing ( no soft-close). There is a separate Chamfered edged solid-wood bar bracket that attaches to the wall so you can then hang the unit onto the bracket ( no wall fixings supplied). WORD OF WARNING!.. There is quite a "pungent " odour from the wax used to finish the product I assume it's from the type of solvent mixed with the Wax ,aromatic hydrocarbons maybe ? but it will disappear in a couple of days, leave the doors open as well for the solvent to evaporate.Let fresh air in . I would have been grateful to receive some in-depth information on this furniture or at least how to look after it. I presume it will require waxing from time to time. If, like me,you are sensitive to strong smells, I would recommend you purchase a Wax that contains aliphatic hydrocarbons rather than aromatic hydrocarbons. These are solid pine wood and are well constructed. I've actually stood on the smaller one with no signs of distress and the door opens and closes as before! Very well packed and excellent all-round service from Wayfair.

Fantastic looking and well made. Nice style of bracket for mounting to the wall. Allows a few inches of lateral adjustment.

Good quality, steady. The hinges are a bit too big, though.
