Bit tricky to assemble, and you have to be careful which shoes to insert where when it's finished otherwise they can jam the drawers. But it's neat and takes up little space.

The product comes flat packed surrounded by ample fragile polystyrene which creates a lovely mess that sticks to all the pieces as you remove them from the box. The instructions are not bad to be fair though the tiny lettered stickers on the pieces could do with being larger and more than one per piece would make finding each part somewhat easier. All the fixings are inside plastic bags, lots of them. Each bag has a small printed letter inside it, 2 of the bags had this letter folded so I couldn't read it. That, along with the polystyrene, is an unacceptable amount of plastic in this day and age. The packing could be cardboard/egg box type structures and the bags could be paper with printed letters on. Once assembled you realise that this not particularly cheap piece of furniture (by chipboard standards) is not actually that well made. We've bought 2 of them but will hold off assembling the 2nd until we're sure the 1st will last long enough to justify the effort of assembling the 2nd. There are significant gaps around the draws. The only thing that stops the shoe draws opening too far and spilling all your shoes out is two plastic dowels (yes, all the dowels are plastic, as are the draw runners). The shoe draw doors themselves are poorly made and flex under the slightest pressure, the panel being hardboard that appears loose within the frame. The screws in the left and right uprights go into holes that are not countersunk and therefore the heads cannot be adequately covered by the caps. One of the fittings inside the top draw protrudes into the draw, I don't think the hole has been countersunk properly. All in all it's not what you'd call a solid piece of furniture. The smaller chipboard unit they are replacing is far more solid. There are some good points for which Wayfair should be commended. The back hardboard panel has a line on it showing where the middle spar is that you are nailing into (though this assumes you got the hardboard in all the way down, a line up marker either side would be nice), wall anchors are part of the instructions rather than some optional add on and the top draw has a support spar under the middle of the panel. Unfortunately this doesn't mitigate the overall poor quality or the extraordinary 2 week wait for delivery (the tracking farce is worthy of a 1 star review itself). Overall it does look nice and it's exactly what we wanted, but I'm awfully glad we took out a 5 year warranty, I'm pretty sure we'll need it well before it expires.

Very practical and compact shoe cabinet. Great design but the only thing is the time it took to assemble so was not the easiest. But worth it once built and looks great in our hallway and doesn’t take up too much space! Fit even size 11 which a lot of other compact cabinets do not often do. Would recommend if you don’t mind the building!

A beautiful cabinet, sturdy and well designed.

Looks very smart. The wood is really good quality. Arrived on time. The instructions are easy to follow and put together. My problem is opening and closing the doors, as they catch on the door below and the plinth below. There is no way of adjusting this and so they catch every time you open and close the doors. Rather frustrating.
