Not quite as ‘black’ as expected as was looking for solid black (which it was advertised as) but it’s more a charcoal with little flecks of grey in it. This mat definitely has the industrial look to it. It replaced a mat that I had that was a little too tall for the bifold doors next to my unit’s door for the laundry. That mat had to be mmoved out of the way for anyone to get to the machines. So the low profile is definitely a bonus.
