Morelock Zeigler Rug

This carpet was made in Afghanistan following the tradition born in the Arak region in Persia. The British company Ziegler started production of carpets suited to European tastes here in 1870. The motifs are often taken from Persian carpets. The wool is of excellent quality and coloured with natural pigments.
