Crafted with the aged vintage look of time-worn antiques, patina rugs have a stone-washed finish that creates a zero-pile needlepoint texture. Old world patterns in faded tones lend a relaxed and romantic quality to traditional and transitional rooms. Machine-loomed by Turkish artisans, patina rugs are crafted of polypropylene yarn for ease of care.

This rug is not distressed at all. The picture with the chair on the rug is the most accurate. It is very pretty from far away. Up close you can tell this is not an expensive rug. Also if you're looking for comfort this is not the rug for you. It is coarse and not soft at all. I was fine with this as we put it in a room that doesn't get a lot of traffic and it works fine as more of decor and less for function.
