Capirano Geometric Wool Hand Woven Area Rug

Very happy- not the most plush rug but I think it will wear well and looks just like photo

I have to laugh at purchasers who are surprised that this rug is "thin" or not "soft". These are Dhurrie rugs that have been woven from natural fibers for centuries in India. They are supposed to be flat and are not "tufted" so there is no pile to make them thick or soft. You can use them as a blanket or a wall hanging - some of the Morrocan patterns are so beautiful. I have several of the grey and white patterns in my bedroom and now I am putting several into a beach cottage that will be a nightly rental. Housekeeping loves the flat rugs because it is easier to clean sand from a flat rug. The other great thing is that they are reversible! I love these rugs. They first became popular in US Interior Design in the 1980's when pine furniture and pastel color schemes were in vogue. Now they are available in the today's more neutral colors.

I had to double check that I didn't accidentally buy an outdoor rug. Its thinner and more heavy duty than I expected, but overall we like it in our living room, and especially the design. Pros: Durable, Classic

I was hoping that this rug would be similar in quality to those I've purchased previously. I didn't pay a huge amount for this rug so didn't expect the finest quality...however, the rug is thin, edges curl, and it looks cheap. Definitely disappointed. I'm using it in a very high traffic area and with my dog on it all the time, I know I'll need to replace it within a couple of years. The only good thing about it is that I won't have to be overly careful and I won't be upset when I need to replace it.
