Had this for several years now. The central cushion went lumpy in the wash so I use others inside now. However I wash the outer ring in the bath so it doewn't go lumpy too. The base is plastic and can make the floor sweaty with the heat of the dog, so I put a towel underneath to protect my wooden floor. All-in-all a good buy but not sure whether I would buy again.. This mat is the ultimate in pet bedding. This medical-grade bedding is used by those involved in the care and welfare of all kinds and breeds of animals. It is used in the kennels and cages as bedding for sick, recuperating, and whelping dogs. The double woven open weave backing allows bodily fluids to pass through the mat, into a receptacle or absorbent pad. The luxurious 32-35mm high pile offers comfort, warmth, and protection which is why it is used by kennels/catteries and pro breeders as standard bedding for all their animals. As this is a material and can have minor shape changes, it is operated within a tolerance of +/- 3%. "Why not give your pet the ultimate bed experience." It is manufactured in Yorkshire to the same exacting standards as required by the NHS.

Bought it for my cat as we’ve moved into a flat with wooden floors and he misses the carpet but typical cat…he wouldn’t go near the mat! I have sent it back, however still rate it 5 stars as the quality is great, it’s a very thick, luscious fleece (which is what I think he had an issue with - must have a preference for short pile). For anyone else considering buying one who has a smooth floor, I’d go for a non-slip one which I think the company does, as this did slip around a lot.. Anonymous. Fri Mar 22 2024
