Great cage for my daughters dwarf Hamster. Easy to put together. Comes with wheel, bottle, little sleeping house and bowl. Also has a ladder and platform. So great for the price. It is a little flimsy the platform but if your not heavy handed its fine. There are gaps at the sides which are where the sides don't meet. I had this cage in my shopping basket for some time, this one is a decent size cage for a hamster to live it’s life in, and at a good price, I did wonder about the size of the wheel as hamsters, Syrian hamsters in particular need a wheel of 10-12 inches, I did ask what size the wheel was, Wayfair had great communication in trying to get the answer but was unable to from the supplier, I am happy with my purchase however lost a star as the wheel was snapped and is far to small for even a dwarf hamster which is sad as a small wheel can cause health issues for a hamsters back so would of been nice to have a bigger wheel not sure why the supplier would supply an unusable unsafe wheel, also the house would only be suitable for a baby dwarf hamster, so I have bought a nice large house instead and will look for a new wheel, also I feel like the base could of been a little deeper for burrowing, it has a good amount of space to fill with lots of enrichment. I bought this cage for my hammie, and we both absolutely love it! I decided to attach the bottom tray permanently with spare screws that came in the pack, as I didn’t require the pullout tray, although it would be handy for animals that don’t require such thick bedding. I sealed the interior and painted the outside with non toxic animal friendly paint/sealant, the wood was so easy to coat, not to mention to put it together, so quick and simple! The wooden platforms slot into place and are easy to remove in order to clean the cage (no screws) but still secure enough. The Perspex screens are covered initially to prevent any scratches, which was really handy to leave on while I painted it. The item itself is packed very well and carefully.
