Very sturdy gate, good hardware for mounting to the door jams, the cat doors is very convenient and the dogs are too big to get through it. It hasn't been mounted yet because I don't have a saw to cut the connecting boards, I mis-measured the sides of the entryway so there has to be about a 4 inch gap board inserted. My brother-in-law is coming by this weekend to cut and mount the boards. Looking forward to having it installed, it's a nice clean design.. Shari. Superior, WI. Wed Jun 25 2025

Not sure how but my dog is managing to get past this so it is not securing her at all. She is a 5lbs mixed breed so tiny. Looks great on and easy in terms of it hasn’t a threshold bar but no use for securing dog in a room. Jodie. Perth. Sat Nov 15 2025

It should stop the dog from getting to places where ge is not meant to be! However some aspects of the build quality are not well made. The bottom of the frame is slighly out of shape resulting in the feet not making perfect with the floor, but it's good enough. Jacqueline. Wirral, GB. Sat Jan 13 2024

This is a game changer for the animals. One dog and one cat. If the slider is left open for air flow the cat tries to escape through the dog door. With this screen blocking the dog door the slider can be opened for fresh air . The dog lets us know when he needs to get out. Thank goodness.. Virginia. San Diego, CA. Sat Oct 04 2025

The Bettacare Chunky Wooden Screw Fit Pet Gate range fits all gaps between 63.5cm - 105.5cm. These gates can be opened either way and operated with one hand. The robust screw fitting design is easily installed, but once in place makes a solid barrier which will withstand the impact from even the most spirited of pets. The gate panels measure 71cm in height, and when using the installation template the gate will measure 75.5cm from the floor. It is possible to mount the gate higher off the floor if preferred, but it is advised to ensure your pet can not crawl under the height you install the lower set of fittings. The solid wood frame is thicker than the average screw fitted gate measuring a full 5cm (with panels interlocking). The wider frame provides a more solid feel to the gate, ensures a quieter closing mechanism, and provides greater protection against dogs chewing. (it is recommended to purchase additional anti-chew spray should you be worried your pet may consistently try to chew the gate). The gates can additionally be used outdoors, however it is recommended to remove the panels from the fittings for storage during prolonged periods of wet weather. The range is available in five different colours to suit any home interior.
