First and foremost, this is a fantastic piece of furniture. Solid quality, shipped safely, overall an excellent item. I'd recommend it to anyone who is looking for a litter box enclosure.
That said, this did not work for us because our cats are so large. They are used to having a much larger litter box, and had issues turning around, scooping litter over their messes, and generally maneuvering in the box. We had to buy a new litter box insert for this piece of furniture and it was tough to find one that natively fit (however we did find one that was quite cheap). We found it didn't have high enough sides to keep the urine specifically in the box, and litter was tossed in, over, and around the sides right away. We ended up cleaning the mess once, letting them try using it another time, and then decided to use the furniture for another purpose.
This enclosure now is a wonderful addition to our room, housing unbuilt Lego sets, board games, and generally "hiding" the proper litter box which sits in the adjacent corner. It fits under a window sill well, too. It's a great piece of furniture, but as a litter box it just didn't work for us.
