I was able to construct without a second person. Alignment for the top floor beam is off and therefore is very tight to slide in. Protective plastic is very difficult to completely remove from the window. I resorted to using a razor blade to cut at the edges as it was not coming out from between the window and the wood. I am hopeful that the outdoor cats will take to it.

This cat house is well insulated, Putting it together was only a slight setback, but it is a well built shelter, of course, that takes time. I highly recommend this cat house.

Exactly as described. Put it together myself and it was super easy. The roof does have a chemical smell but that will air out. Once it’s aired out it will be very useful. It has very nice insulation and an optional “window” so if it gets REALLY cold then there is insulation that zips up inside to cover that window. I have the flap down inside right now so the window can be seen out of from the inside, so I love that option. The insulation material is very easy to clean. *It was 100% worth the money.* Even though the wood is somewhat thin it is sturdy and with insulation it’s absolutely sufficient for the need. Hopefully I’ll be able to trap this senior feral cat Patches who lost her territory to younger cats and this will help keep her warm and help her feel safe while I acclimate her from free roaming in neighborhood, to the porch, to inside.

My outdoor stray loves it! Add a few cozy blankets and a heated outdoor pad in the house for pets and it keeps them super warm and cozy. Especially on a cold Chicago day like today. Its 30 degrees out. My only issue is that the insulation fully up does not allow the cat to look out the window wich she prefers so I keep the insulation down on the window area.
