You can put the floor lamp in any corner of the room as you need. This floor lamp is not easy to tip over because it has a stable base. You can keep the direction of light as you like by turning the head of the lamp.

Looks attractive and well made, with a nice satin metal finish, and tall, which was exactly what I wanted. A bit tricky to assemble and fit bulbs (which aren't included). Only dimmable one I could get to fit the uplighter is a halogen, due to the size of the glass tube - the LED equivalent I had was too fat. The smaller lamp fits a dimmable LED G9 but it flickers a bit at high or low light. I don't think it's a fault with the lamp itself, just might not be suitable for LEDs.. Sara. Brighton.
