I put two of these in my conservatory. The metal is very dark brown a matte finish which a very subtle sheen. This light does not come with bulbs however - the other ones in the grouping do. You can get incandescent looking lights that are LEDS - more energy efficient. They look great. My husband, who let's be fair, doesn't normally say much about lighting, has said at least twice how much he likes them. They are very nice quality.
