Absolutely shocking product to be honest. Had the item fitted by a experienced qualified electrician and item transmitter was severely defective and making a loud arching noise. Plus the motion sensor was damaged on closer inspection. Electrician thought it was very likely that light had been returned before and sent out again. Shocking!!

We bought two of these. These are manufactured to a reasonable standard. Where you see the lines going across the lamp those are silicone seals. Overtighten and they squash out of the space. There were two different leds used in the two lamps which seemed strange. The mounting of the unit is by a plastic wall mount which works fine and tightening the holding screws for the body makes this lamp stronger and more substantial. While these lamps are NOT IP67 rated, they di carry an IP rating against splashing of water etc. so should stand the UK weather OK. The main body is what appears to be aluminium and feels well made. The two year guarantee on offer helped us to determine that these lamps were for us.

First impressions were good as the lamp felt solid and looked good. However, the assembly was poor as the lamp unit was was not in line with the base. The lamp has three adjustments which is what prompted me to buy it as not all have: timer for the 'on' time; ambient light level at which the light will be triggered and distance from the lamp at which some will trigger it. The timer range works fine with a range from a few seconds to several minutes. The range switch seems to make no difference: the sensor seems to detect someone from approx 6m away regardless of setting which means that someone approaching the neighbouring front door will set it off but is tolerable. Finally, the ambient light level detector range is not ideal as the light is triggered in the late afternoon when when ambient light levels doesn't really need the lamp to come on - but it does even at the extreme end of the adjustment. It's a shame really as not all of these lamps with PIR sensors have all three adjustments and if the ranges were corrected and the assembly improved, this lamp would be very good indeed.
