I was encouraged to buy this by the review saying that the shade was not cream but rather beige ... it is ... and what I wanted. So ideal and I am very happy with the purchase.

This is an expensive lamp, the base is lovely, a really nice shape and is the only reason I am keeping it. The shade is not cream as described but rather a light caramel colour and does not go with my decor at all. I have had to pay for a cream coloured shade so that I can use it. I will be contacting Wayfair about this

I was convinced to buy this because of the first reviewers feedback! I liked the base but was not keen on a cream shade. Reviewer complained shade was a light brown rather than cream. They were right and my wife and I are very pleased with our purchase. The lamp and base came very well packaged (double boxed) which was just as well since the couriers always seem to deliver boxes with multiple dents, rips and tears and this was no exception, but the lamp and shade came through unscathed. Would recommend this lamp and being resin should be more robust than ceramic.
