I recently bought the DeLonghi 9455 coffee machine and have been very impressed with it. The machine is very easy to use, even for beginners. The controls are simple and intuitive, so making coffee every day is quick and convenient. The coffee quality is excellent. It produces rich, aromatic coffee with great flavor, and the machine allows good control over the brewing process. I was pleasantly surprised by how consistent the results are. Another thing I really like is how convenient it is. It heats up quickly and cleaning is straightforward, which makes it perfect for daily use at home. Das war der Grund unsere Bosch Kaffeefiltermaschine wegzuwerfen, weil der Wasserfiltereinsatz dauern leckte, trotz Reinigung und diverser Abdichtversuche. The mesh filter initially scraped against the sides when actuated, which was unpleasant. After using it a few times I no longer notice this at all. The finish on the edge of the spout (in contact with anything poured) is chipped slightly - leaving a dark, rough edge. Otherwise a generally very solid construction with decent welds. The pour is very nice (rotate the lid into the correct position). The lid is not at risk of moving during pour and does not need holding down - I have tested filling it and turning it completely upside-down with no issue (your experience may vary).. Anonymous. This is a wonderful machine, not only does it make superbly brewed coffee it is also a journey into science and a visual spectacle. The design of this coffee maker dates back to the 1830s. The machine works using gravity and vacuum principles: first, you place ground coffee in the heavy glass brew chamber. Next, you fill the boiler chamber with hot water and place it on the apparatus. A tube connects the two chambers. When full of water the boiler sits low on the swing frame and holds the lid open on the alcohol wick burner. When the water boils it is forced into the brewing chamber, at this point the boiler rises and the lid of the burner closes extinguishing the flame. A vacuum is created in the boiler and the brewed coffee from the brewing chamber is now miraculously drawn back into the boiler from where it can be served from the little tap… The tube that connects the chamber has a very fine washable mesh filter that never needs replacing. The entire process is quite a visual spectacle and the coffee can easily be prepared at the table. This machine is a modern reproduction of a 19th-century design from Europe. It is very well made: the metalwork and glass chamber are top quality. The machine comes beautifully and securely gift-boxed. Vacuum coffee brewers produce a tasty and clean brew. The water reaches the coffee at the ideal temperature of 93c and is able to percolate for just the right amount of time. The vacuum created is very strong and literally sucks every bit of the extracted essence from the coffee grounds. For these reasons, vacuum brews work much better than french press/Bodum type coffee makers. This machine would make an ideal gift. Guaranteed best quality available.
