With its attractive decor and curved design, the 12-piece Lido dinner service really stands out from the crowd. This collection will look great wherever it's used, be it for a traditional dinner, a special occasion, or a cozy meal with friends.

These only arrived 2 days ago, but first impressions are really good. They are of a good weight, yet not as thick as some. The plates have quite a deep lip to them, so should be good if you like lots of gravy. The bowls are wide and shallow, ideal for soups, pasta and rice dishes. Really looking forward to using them. They are microwave, dishwasher, and oven safe, and chip resistant. The shape is beautiful, a squashed and squared octagon in effect. Good quality, but to call the coffee cups mugs is stretching out a bit. Of the 3 sets available with plates, cups, and saucers these are the largest at 0.22l. The others are more classic teacup shape, but smaller at 0.20l and 0.14l respectively - and the latter also having smaller bread plates in place of side plates and smaller saucers. Mugs are available separately or with bowls, and these are a more respectable 0.37l and can be classed as mugs ) But I love the quality and the shape of these pieces. This is a lovely set, especially when partnered with the dinner plates and pasta bowls set. It’s for 6 not 4 so perfect for groups it’s classy but understated it’s great for both occasions and every day. It is fine china though, so not as robust as other dinner sets. This was a replacement set as the first arrived damaged, but replacement was without fuss, quick to arrive and better packaged so survived the journey in perfect condition.. J. Trowbridge, GB.
