Luna Matte Black Kettle

This is the second of these I have bought. I bought this one to match my new kitchen. My previously one stainless steel with the copper band around the base which I gave to my sister who had admired it. Easy to fill, see the fill markers and very quiet when boiling. I like the internal blue light that appears when it is in use. Well made, sturdy, beautiful matt black finish. Well done Russell Hobbs!

Although the kettle has an excellent pouring spout, light inside to see the water measures with a quick boil. The kettle seems to sit loose on its base and their is too much movement which gives me concerns about safety issues.

So I had a kettle that was very noisy, so much so that you could not hear somebody talking unless they were right next to you (measured 85 decibels on my phone), I decided enough was enough looked around and settled on this kettle, 1st thing is it is a very nice build quality, it looks and feels premium, so what about the noise, well it is not silent but then no kettle will be, but is it quiet enough that you barely notice it, it is not intrusive and does not block out conversations, the TV or the radio.

It's pretty good, no complaints at all. Quality and price is matching in my opinion, doesn't feel cheap or anything. I guess the trick is always will it last which in my experience doesn't matter how much you pay these days, they just mostly don't.
