Peugeot Saveurs, Paris - Salt Mill

Nice product but it was clearly something that had previously been returned. They come with small starter packets of saltpepper and my pepper grinder already had the pepper in it. The salt had the unopened packet included. Also both had torn packaging indicating they been previously opened.

The Peugeot Paris Antique Salt & Pepper Mills are beautiful! One would truly think they are genuine antiques!

Salt and Pepper do not match. I understand they are wood but there is a significant difference. One is very grey and dull the other brown and woodsy. It will cost me a loss of 25 to send back. Pretty dissatisfied with Wayfair return policy these were pricy and all I want is an exchange.

You cannot go wrong with a Peugeot mill. This finish is absolutely beautiful. It is not painted like the previous model I owned, instead it is has a natural look with a hand-finished or oiled look. It's not dark, but is far from the light brown, almost unfinished look that is often called "natural." They do make one in that raw color; if that's what you are looking for this is NOT it. This model has the traditional adjustment via the screw at the top. I purchased this with the pepper mill in Chocolate, for a "salt & pepper" look. Although they were the same series, the knobs were different tones. I did purchase a replacement from Peugeot so they would match. Overall a fine salt mill.
