Bottle Opener

I've been collecting bottle openers for the cottage of our deck from Wayfair for awhile. Love them all. This is the first one where the painting detail isn't as precise as the others. Happy with it (I won't be sending it back as it will be outdoors) just not ecstatic with it.

The buffalo has a nice weight and a few paint nicks to make it look like a fun antique find. A great decor piece but in terms of function, unfortunately it doesn't work. We tried two, thinking the first was simply defective but the next wasn't any better. The problem is the gap is too large for decent leverage and the opener isn't sharp enough to grab the bottle cap - the bottle just slides around. When you do manage to get the bottle open, you also get a nice mess to clean up as well.
