• About sheesham wood The precious wood sheesham comes from plantations in India. This noble and hard type of wood is also known as East Indian Jacaranda, Indian Rosewood or Java Sonokeling. In Germany, this precious wood is also often called "East Indian rosewood". After processing, the wood is very hard and is therefore considered to be very solid and extremely durable. Notes on sheesham wood Sheesham wood is a natural product! Every sheesham tree is unique and therefore the color and grain are never identical. The dining table is a unique piece of solid sheesham wood that has been painstakingly handcrafted. Wood-specific features such as knots, splits, color play or different surface grains are part of the characteristic appearance and are a sign of the natural raw material sheesham wood. Irregularities and unevenness are therefore not a defect, but emphasize the individual character and are a trademark of this precious wood.
• Care instructions: Over time, fine cracks may appear in the material, which will close again as soon as the humidity in the room is balanced again. It is advisable to keep the room conditions as constant as possible (at a room temperature of around 20 °C and a humidity of 40-60 %). Use a slightly damp, lint-free cloth for cleaning. It is recommended to re-wax the dining table once or twice a year. To do this, apply the wax very thinly with a cloth to the cleaned, dry wooden surface and then polish thoroughly.
