Never used this item due to a fault, meaning the base did not safely attach to the glass top.

I love the look, size and style but I had to use extra nuts and washers to stop the original fittings from loosening - which was easy enough to do so hopefully that will have resolved the issues.

Everything is great except for the cheap piece of threaded rod supplied which holds the unit together. The metal is so weak it slips the threads. I've already had one end of the rod damaged, it's now on the second end and I foresee it breaking pretty soon in which case I'll be filing a warranty claim. Feels like a casted aluminium threaded rod rather then some hard steel.
