I bought the medium planter as the large one was out of stock. I was slightly disappointed about the size, but I measured it and its true to description. There are no holes per se in the planter but the base is slightly smaller leaving gaps for drainage, so if you are filling it with very dry soil it may poor from the open ends. Have some pebbles something to help with filling the planter. Easy to assemble.
