A good ambient light, but I was slightly disappointed as I was expecting a yellow hue to the glass. You can't get coloured bulbs easily these days, so creating a warm light will be difficult.

Bright and well-diffused light. Used two spiral energy saver bulbs with no problems and the shade hides the bulb outlines completely.
