A really lovely comfortable chair. The smaller size is great for our lounge. Really soft leather, a very classy style and we like it so much we are thinking of getting another one. Great buy, well done Wayfair.

Upholstery Colour:Slate
Excellent piece of furniture. Very comfortable to sit on and looks exactly like the photos on the website. Is very easy to put together at home as well as the parts simply slot in to each other, doesn’t need a complicated installation.

This may be inexpensive to some but it was a very significant purchase for me (and a costly mistake at nearly £500), made based on the description repeatedly stating Genuine Leather. Not bonded or faux but stated as Genuine Leather. Two sales reps (Rory and Steven) confirmed it was genuine leather before I purchased. In my humble opinion if this is genuine leather then I'm Oprah Winfrey. I would never have bought this if it had said bonded leather. I was only looking for leather. I could have chosen from many bonded leather ones at several hundred pounds cheaper had I wanted non-leather. I have photos of the damages that show what looks like a paper backing, so it simply cannot be leather in my opinion. So how is this getting good reviews! Did the positive reviewers get genuine leather? I generously give two positive comments: one for the fast dispatch and ease of assembly, and the second for the fact that it is softly padded (for now). But in the end I feel completely ripped off, I paid a lot for genuine leather and got what looks to me to be cheap paper thin bonded leather, with damage. The negatives are many: I paid far far too much for the highly suspect material, but how do you prove it's not leather with a company with reported appalling attitude to its customers - time will tell when it starts to peel, flake or degrade. I thought I was buying an item that was genuine leather and so would improve with age and care, I personally doubt this 'material' will last 6 months, if I'm even that lucky. It just doesn't look or feel robust as leather should, so I'll never relax using it. I wanted the light grey which was due back in stock shortly but was persuaded by both sales reps that the slate was a lovely expensive looking colour and the light grey would be dearer when it returned to stock. This was my mistake, personally I think the slate looks cheap and thin and is just a weird dull flat colour that shows up fingerprints/hand/head marks as shiny patches. I've never seen leather do this before. I dislike it. I was also dismayed to find it had decreased in price the night after I purchased it. I was also unhappy about the delivery. The delivery driver literally dropped it off of the tail bed onto the road some distance below, on its side. Asked me to help him shift it off the middle of the road and when I said I would need to get my husband as I couldn't lift that weight he got in his cab and drove off leaving the chair smack bang in the middle of the carriageway. Outrageous. The box was a complete mess, punctured, ripped and burst open. A passer by had to help me get it out of the road so that cars and vans could pass. Diabolical and downright dangerous in my book, middle of a carriageway is not kerbside or door front. Surprisingly there was only two real scuffs/gouges on the 'material' which shows up what looks like a grey fabric/paper backing rather than the cut side of leather in my opinion. However there is also a bit of a torque in the rocker movement and chair generally, no doubt due to being dropped off a truck from several feet in the air. The chair is not great quality in my opinion, it's really basic and cheap (even though it wasn't), the stitching is messy and the seams are puckered, it's also too small for anyone over 5'6 unless you like small seats. I'm also surprised for this price that the footrest has only one position, fully up. And some people may find it a challenge to close it back down. I'm stuck with it (it's still being sold as genuine leather) as due to Covid and damaged, ripped open burst packaging the packaging was immediately disposed of, and my old chair is now gone so that I had room for this so called leather seat: it's an incredibly expensive short term just about adequate item I guess (least it would be if I'd paid half the price for it) and until the material comes apart or wears away I am personally unable to prove it's not genuine leather. I am hughly disappointed and feel ripped off, it's a very very expensive mistake. In my opinion it's just nasty to take advantage of trusting hard working customers. This was my first Wayfair purchase and I am certain it'll be my last as if that's acceptable delivery and this is what passes for genuine leather then I'd rather buy better for half the price elsewhere next time, and from a company that values its customers. Cannot express how disappointed I am.
