The headboard was the longest part to assemble, but once we made a plan, it was relatively easy to put together. I will say the hinges provided for the hidden shelf door are cheaply made, and the hydraulics for the headboard were very stiff. Because of this, the hidden door could not remain closed, which caused all three door hinges to snap, and we had to purchase our own stronger hinges. I was surprised at how cheap they were, considering that the door would be opened and closed often. Even now, with stronger hinges, the door doesn’t remain closed and we have had to tape it. We are going to purchase stronger magnets, as these will be better than the ones provided and should allow the door to stay shut. A helpful tip when you are attaching the frame to the headboard, loosen all the bolts first so it is easier to attach and slot into place. I did not realise there is no base once you lift up the bed there isn’t even a floor base or fabric lining, which I assumed was standard with all Wayfair ottomans. All things considered, it is a lovely, nice-looking bed. However, I would not buy it again.

Headache to put together but once it went up it’s been lovely and I get compliments for it. Please make it easier to assemble (pre-fabricate bits please moving forward)
