Very stylish and solid bed frame,easy to following instructions and to build

A story of caution. We had a narrow space to fit a bed and I spent ages trying to find a bed of a suitable width - 1450mm wide, tight, max. I was therefore delighted when I finally found this model at 1400mm wide (4'6"). Once delivered, I noticed it said 135cm wide on the box, which was fine as it was still a double but narrow. I put it together outside the bed space to give me room to maneuver whilst building. Once built I attempted to fit the bed in the space. It did not fit. I measured the width and is was 1500mm wide! They'd sent the wrong bed - kings size instead of double. As I really couldn't be bothered to return a bed and with the space being 1500 wide if I didn't include the skirting, I decided to fit the bed by mounting it on a homemade wooden frame to avoid it resting on the skirting. It was so tight, I had to use a hammer to fit (unsurprisingly, the walls aren't square) . Plus, I added a sheet of material at the foot of the bed to hide the space at the bottom. All good! I'm actually happy we received the wrong size. I was worred about things falling down the side of the bed and being awkward to recover. Now it's so tight there is no chance of that, and now it's mounted on a frame there's even more space underneath. So, please take note and measure the size of the bed once opened, even if you order a certain size and it reads 135mm wide on the box. :-) How do I rate this. It does the job, but I can't give it a 5 as the size is wrong.
