I regret buying this fan. It is far too noisy even on the lowest setting to the extent that I have to turn up the TV to hear it. Also the blade guard does not come apart for cleaning - just vacuuming it will not clean the inside and the blades. If you put the fan on a higher setting it sounds like an aircraft taking off. This fan was a replacement for an old Swan fan - the old one was much much quieter than this one. The reason for the 2 stars is the good quality and appearance of the fan. I am sorry to say I would not recommend this fan.
