Well made, good finish. The screws supplied are a bit on the small side. I bought two escutcheons, one for each side of the door. I had a locksmith put them on at the same time we had a malfunctioning mortice lock replaced. The key openings are quite narrow, and require precise alignment for you easily slide the key in and out. The trick the locksmith used was to insert a conical burr tool (rotatory file) in the top part and quickly make it bigger. I am not sure I would have thought of doing that if installing the escutcheons myself. So I may have struggled trying to get everything aligned. The locksmith also used much bigger screws to secure it. Hence 4 stars.
