What are Clearance Requirements?: The clearance requirement refers to the space that is required above, behind, and around the fireplace insert to protect its surroundings from the heat produced by the fireplace. While some electric inserts require no clearance– meaning the heat is self-contained, the unit is well insulated, and it can be placed almost directly next to the wall– it is typical for them to require up to 1-2 inches of clearance space.

After receiving a badly damaged stove, Wayfair sent me a replacement with no fuss. Great service thanks. The stove is a great addition to our home and looks good.
