It's fairly blackout, but is also quite thin and doesn't stick to the window very well. Can tell the difference in quality between this and another curtain we have which is from John Lewis

Panels arrived quickly and do block out most light but wouldn't quite classify them as full blackout curtains. Overall I am satisfied, as a little bit of light is welcome, but for those looking for complete darkness, you may want to look further.
