Wood Wall Clock

I was shocked at how really cheap this clock looked when I took it out of the box. It appears the clock face has been painted on a laminate board they are calling "wood", and a little faded to appear antique, as the original. The good news is that the quartz movement is accurate, and you can hear only the softest of ticking sounds on the second hand. The face of the clock is completely exposed, so I suggest it be placed well out of the reach of harm's way. I chose the clock for the Howard Miller name and clock history, its simplicity, and the fact that this one has regular numbers which are large and easier for me to read as opposed to some Roman numerals. The 18 inch diameter fits nicely in the space for which it was intended.

This is a gorgeous clock and it looks perfect on my mantle. Gave four stars instead of 5 for the price but I would still recommend. I hope to enjoy this clock for years to come.

I liked it a lot. The only thing is I wish it had a glass covering because my cat chewed on the hand :-/

Misleading - the entire thing is printed on, not a separate wood frame. Still looks great in our space but quality isnt there for the price
