Ceramic, Metal Wall Clock

This clock is beautiful - However - My first issue is that I noticed that the battery fitting was quite loose but was reluctant to tamper with it . I fitted a new battery but clock didn't work, I tried another new battery still to no avail, I then thought as the battery box was loose perhaps it wasn't connecting with the hands so I tightened the box and it's now working so, so far so good. My second issue is that the design for hanging the clock is a small hole pointing downward built into the ceramic of the clock. So far the only 'suitable' fitting I can only come up with that will attach the clock to the wall is a small picture hook, which means if using a small picture hook because of the design of the clock it will not hang flush to the wall, if using a large hook it may hang pretty flush to the wall but it will be seen above the clock also as the clock is heavy I'm not sure that a small hook will hold the weight. Unfortunately because of the positioning of the hole a strong straight pin or screw will not work it requires some sort of upturned hook. I have contacted Wayfair and they are contacting the manufacturer and getting back to me. The only information on hanging in the instructions is 'secure it to the wall through a suitable guide' which is no help at all. If anyone out there has any ideas I'd appreciate your feedback. My third issue is that from the time I ordered it to the time I received the clock, which was quite a short space of time, the price was reduced by £10.00 but it's a new item so not in the sale! I mentioned this to customer service and was told this was normal, it's not unusual for prices to go up and down, I wasn't aware of this as I'm a new Wayfair customer. It doesn't seem fair! Anyway I do love the clock but if it can't be hung flush to wall with a strong enough fitting I will be returning it. Fingers crossed I get a resolution to the hanging issue.
