We bought this clock because you can see the time in the dark. As described we are happy with this clock.

This clock is such a good idea and works brilliantly. I thought the light may disturb my sleep but it doesn't and I already find it indispensable for when I do wake in the night, I can immediately see the time without reaching for the clock. This is quite a large version, so check the measurements, I have a smaller version in my bathroom which I find acts as a handy night light, as well as displaying the time. The case is a little plasticky (well, it is plastic!) a shame it is not nicer quality, I would pay more for an upgraded version, but saying that it performs very well and I find it so useful, I'd hate to be without it now. PS, It is silent too, no ticking, I don't mind a ticking clock but perfect if you like complete silence.
