This raised bed is well worth paying a little more for. It took about an hour and a half to assemble (32 screws) but the finished product is excellent quality. It is very sturdy, strong, fade proof, waterproof and has a modern colouring to blend into most gardens, it won't need painting or treating, and I found it a good height for me at 5 foot 5 inches. Once filled with soil it is also wind proof. You can plant about 15 lettuce comfortably, or more if you plant them closer still. The bonus for me which I was not aware of before ordering, is the water gauge. The gauge tells you when to water your plants, or if there is too much water in the bed, if it is flooded from rain there is a plug to release the excess water onto the ground below or into a watering can.
