While overall the product is excellent, there was some damage to some posts on delivery. There were also 3 missing poles making the connection of the tarp impossible. However very prompt customer service to a high standard were able to support me with a solution although the whole experience was highly inconvenient. A brilliant addition to the garden — really impressed ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We've been looking for something to define our seating area in the garden without taking over the whole space, and this pergola is absolutely perfect. The 3m x 3m footprint is generous enough to feel like a proper outdoor room, but the 2.27m height keeps it proportionate rather than imposing — it really does make smart use of the space. Assembly was straightforward with two people. The instructions are clear and all the fixings were accounted for — we had it up without any drama in a couple of hours. Having a second pair of hands definitely helps when aligning the frame, but nothing about the process was difficult. The aluminium build feels genuinely solid and well-finished. It doesn't have any of the wobble you sometimes get with cheaper garden structures, and the powder-coated finish looks smart and clean. We're very happy with how it looks — it's given the whole area a much more pulled-together feel. For the price, this is exceptional value. Turned out nice. Had this professionally installed and mounted the post in concrete blocks to give more stability. The metal pieces itself is lightweight aluminum but when connected together it’s sturdy. Only gripe are the shade connector poles. Their means of connecting could be improved because they slide off & disconnect from one another every now & then but so far holds up well with rain when shade is pulled back. This pergola was an experience to assemble. The instructions leave a lot to be desired. Also the unit is 10x10, BUT ONLY AT THE TOP. The base measurement from the center of each support to the next is only 97.83", not 10x12' or 120". In my case it worked out, but if you have to fit it over an area consider getting a 12x12, which would have worked fine for me. I also checked the interior dimensions in the description on Wayfair, and they were only of the top not the bottom. I believe that information should be changed. The unit itself, once assembled is beautiful, but you do need two people for assembly, especially if you can't drill into the concrete. The legs must be stable to attach the top units to them!! We did that job by laying them on the lawn, then putting them in concrete blocks, as you can see by the photo. Trying to do it while up is folly, unless you have four people holding up the cross bars while you screw in the bolts!! On YT it shows a guy assembling on the ground, smart!
