Shelters were good for what we needed, a lot of parts to put together and unfortunately when we experienced a lot of wind we had to add additional ties to keep them together

Overall, I’m very happy with this pergola-style gazebo, especially considering the price. It’s a fraction of the cost of a traditional pergola setup, so even if it lasts a few years, I’d consider it great value. I’ve only had it for a few weeks and used it during the summer months, mainly for BBQs, and it’s been fantastic for that purpose. The open sides allow airflow while still providing decent shelter. I added a tarp to one side for extra weather protection, and used it to store BBQ equipment and supplies — its made outdoor cooking much more enjoyable. Assembly-wise, most of it I completed on my own. I recommend that when assembling both side panels, you temporarily support or brace them until the full structure is complete, as everything becomes sturdier once fully connected. I pre-assembled the roof on the ground and then lifted it into place myself — it’s not too heavy to manage alone with a bit of care. Instructions generally are pretty straightforward could be clearer in some areas. The supplier resolved a missing panel promptly. I’d definitely recommend anchoring it in some way, especially if it’s on soil or exposed to wind, just for added peace of mind. The screws are tap in screws for metal, can easily strip the metal if not supported all the way through the end stages. Make sure everything is up together and supported until the final screw. It becomes sturdier right at the end. Like I mentioned where the two sides panels meet the back panel it was not clear how it connects. I think 6L for example is meant to go on the inside of 4. I screwed it to the outside so the right angled brackets didnt really fit in, had to bend in place. As shown in picture. There is some flexibility in the DIY kit as even though I feel like I made a mistake it still came together fine. Its been quite windy last few days and its not budged. I have it completely free standing. All in all, a great budget-friendly option if you’re after a BBQ shelter or a lightweight outdoor structure. Overall customer service from delivery company and Wayfair were 1010.
