Seemed all right but after a month or so it sprang a leak at the bottom of the hole where the pole goes in. Perhaps we tried to move it too often with the parasol in but you should be able to do that. It's not robust and it's a bad buy. Now we must find something else. Having to fill it with water rather than having weight built in sounds a neat way of reducing transport costs but it's no good if it leaks.

Was recommended to go with the rectangular parasol we also brought, it doesn’t, not enough of the parasol pole will fit into this base to hold it steady

Not as stable as I thought filled with water and the holder for the umbrella does not tighten so brolly spins

Very stable and has survived all year in North pennines weather without ever falling over when parasol is up.
