I received these lovely benches in good time. I ordered two. Fairly easy to assemble, the second was easier than the first as I realised the bottom bar should be put into place first & then attach the legs. If you don’t attach the bar first it will appear that the bar is too long but it isn’t. Once that’s on, then all fits well. Very sturdy & a good price in the sale. I am thrilled with my purchase.. An impressive garden bench in a classic British design made of solid, black lacquered cast iron. A stylish lion head decorates the left and right sides of the bench. The decking is made out of twelve sturdy, mahogany-coloured hardwood boards, which are easy to maintain. Cast iron exists in various levels of quality, which is measured by the density of the processed cast iron. The lesser the density, the lighter and wobblier is the product and the easier it can break. This bench offers a level of very high density and is therefore very sturdy and robust. The cast iron can be re-painted from time to time with metal paint. The wood should be treated with a commercially available coating, depending on the use and site of installation. The bench will be delivered in a carton and needs to be assembled. All fittings and instructions are included in the delivery and assembly will only take a couple of minutes.
