Definitely ugly. Not really suitable for this parasol - use 4 x 15" square paving slabs instead, if necessary one on top of other i.e. 8 slabs in all

Haven’t tried it yet as summer is over but looks like it will do the trick

Easy to use and clever. The site recommended ordering these along with the parasol and I was sceptical but they're definitely necessary. The parasol is so solid and heavy it needs anchoring - very clever idea too - fill with water (carrying handles are included) and you have instant weights for your parasol base.

Does exactly what it needs to, easy to fill and put in place and seems to hold the 3m umbrella even in quite strong winds.
