Makokou the Climbing Monkey Statue

Makokou is as unique as he is adorable. One has to be creative when finding the perfect place within which to display him, but that is what makes him so much fun and different from statues that you place on a tabletop or shelf. With a little bit of ingenuity, you can turn the rope-like vine he clings to into a beautiful, brightly colored vine of leaves and flowers simply by winding tropical leaves and flowers around the rope. Makokou is perfect in size and appearance and he is priced reasonably as well. If you "think" you "might" like him, trust me, you won't be disappointed. He is lots of fun and a real conversation piece.

First off, this little guy is made very well. It does not show so much in the picture but the rope is threaded through 3 of his 4 feet so he holds on securely. He also has some weight to him. He's not a cheap plastic toy. I have a solar chandelier in the backyard. It swings from the tree by both a chain and a steel cable. I removed the monkey's rope and threaded that cable through his hands and now he is climbing the chandelier chain. Very cool.

Very pretty statue, looks so real! Reminds me of the monkeys in Costa Rica! I greatly recommend it! All statues from Design Toscano are very pretty, I have quite a few, and my back yard looks so pretty!

I bought this monkey years ago! He still looks great, a little faded but not bad, I can touch him up. I added plastic bananas attaching to the rope for added fun. I'm actually thinking of buying another one. By the way....please take critters inside in the winter...no excuses ;o)) If you can't...here's my remedy....heavy duty trash bags work great...tie it tight, keep the snow and water out. You're welcome ;o))

Smaller than I had hoped for BUT he is great hanging on shelter patio above artificial palm tree. Looks so real. Have had a lot of wind here and he is still swinging, he did NOT let go of his rope! Quality is there as always with Design Toscno. Have bought a lot of wild animal statues from them and have never been unpleased.
