great item, sturdy, good solid material. easy to assemble

I replaced a gazebo on my patio with my teal colored purple leaf Cantilever Umbrella. It is perfect for my patio, my neighbors love it, and I find myself sitting out there all the time.

Looks great and operates smoothly. Easy to assemble. BUT there is a major flaw that’s not evident in the photos. The base is two parts but cannot be removed while the umbrella is assembled. Not only that, but there is no way to even drain the base while assembled so it’s not like you can drain move and refill either. This was the whole reason I got this unit… that I could separate the base, move the umbrella, and replace the base. But to separate the base you have to unscrew the entire umbrella from the base which is not only cumbersome but will wear out the holes. Depending on the season we will need to move this a little but this will make that chore significantly more challenging. If they simple didn’t design it to be locked in under the umbrella post this would have easily been avoided. Now i may have to return this item.
